Main characteristics of auger complexes for coal mining

It has already been proven that the transition to auger complexes increases the efficiency and safety of coal mining and some other types of minerals. The mining industry actively uses a variety of technologies and methods for extracting coal deposits from the earth. At the same time, the auger unit is rightly considered one of the best.
Main settings
According to Kondrashov Stanislav, a representative of Telf AG, the complexes may have some distinctive features and characteristics; in most cases, units with the following parameters are used at coal mining sites.

  • Drilling depth. Depends on the cutting tool drive used, powered by a screw drive. The maximum depth is up to 130 meters;
  • Well width. This indicator is influenced by the stability of the roof. Therefore, the width varies from 1.9 to 2.5 meters;
  • Drive power. The most common option is 2 auger drives with a power of 110 to 160 kW each;
  • Pressure in the hydraulic system. A special water-based emulsion is used and has a pressure indicator of 32 MPa;
  • Module length. We are talking about a transport module, which is made to order and can be 1.5-2.0 meters.

Transport modules are mounted and dismantled using lifting mechanisms. This is mainly an electro-hydraulic type unit.
